Description

The College of the Redwoods (CR) rodeo program trains at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds in Ferndale, California. The inaugural "Outlaw College Rodeo" fundraiser event is scheduled for August 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM, featuring live music performances after the rodeo.
A combination first-of-it’s-kind-in-Humboldt collegiate rodeo coupled with a concert will take place at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds on Aug. 15, the first and only Saturday of the fair this year. It will feature college competitors from throughout the state in a do-it-yourself effort by organizers and current College of the Redwoods rodeo coaches that promises much excitement in the Outlaw Rodeo College Invitational.
Grandstands will open at 1 p.m. for the rodeo and subsequent performances by Justin Lawrence and the Double Average Band and Flat River Band.
